We're expanding reconditioning and hiring an experienced Used Car Technician who can diagnose fast, fix right the first time, and keep comebacks clean. If you've turned wrenches at CarMax or other high-volume used operations-or at domestic/import dealerships-and you want a lane with volume, OEM support, and a pay plan that rewards productivity, step in.
What You'll DoFull used-car recon : bumper-to-bumper inspections, MPIs, road tests, precise RO notes
Diagnose/repair drivability, electrical/CAN, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and emissions-related concerns
Perform PM services (oil, fluids, rotations, alignments) and safety/quality verifications before frontline
Execute CPO-level standards using OEM service info and special tools; close ROs cleanly and on time
Communicate clearly with advisors/parts; keep your bay organized and compliant
Minimum 4 years professional technician experience (CarMax, Carvana, AutoNation, or domestic/import dealership experience highly valued)
Strong mechanical/electrical diagnostic skill with modern scan tools and service information systems
Consistent productivity and clean comebacks ; detail-first documentation
HS diploma or equivalent; ASE and/or OEM certifications a plus (bring what you have-we'll help you stack more)
Valid driver's license; able to safely handle wheels/tires and shop equipment
Top-market hourly flat rate with steady recon volume and real flag-hour opportunity
