Job Description
A remote Sr. Electrical Engineering job is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. This is a 6-month contract assignment with the possibility of extension. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for equipment or wiring installations, including harness routing and mounting solutions within the assigned sector. Knowledge of signal separation requirements and routing best practices.
- Development of 3D models and 2D drawings of pre- and post-production detail parts, assemblies, installations, sub-systems, and integrations for electrical assemblies..
- Support customer in electrical hardware integration and internal wiring from design to production phases.
- Development of wiring diagrams and schematics for aircraft electrical systems.
- Travel 25% or less.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a recognized engineering field from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Experienced with electrical harness design and routing in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Ability to select appropriate cables/wires, circuit protection (fuses, breakers, etc) and EMI design (Shielding requirements, material selection, etc)
- Familiarity with standard practices for electrical circuit design, loss calculations, and power analysis.
- Ability to interpret provided engineering requirements and determine solution paths.
- Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, communicate technical information effectively with both internal team and external customers.
- Manage time efficiently, work independently, and produce accurate designs.
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask efficiently, and flexible enough to meet evolving customer prioritization of tasks.
- Experience with aerospace, automotive, or industrial preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Analysis skills to be able to identify and quickly resolve/mitigate issues.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, ASME Y14.100 drafting standards, SAE AS50881,
IPC/WHMA-A-620, ITAR trade compliance.
- Familiarity with Capacitor design and selection, current analysis, filter design, and other electrical circuit design concepts.
- Experience with CAD Software UGNX, Creo, Zuken, Inventor, Solidworks etc are also considered.
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an hourly rate of $65/hr however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
