Job Title: Recruiting Coordinator

Industry: Nonprofit / Human Resources

Location (city, state): Washington, DC

Assignment Type: Contract | Approximately 2-3 Months

Pay: $23 – $26 / Hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

About The Company: Our client is a growing nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to support its human resources and talent acquisition functions. Job Description: The Recruiting Coordinator will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support throughout the hiring process. This position will coordinate interviews, assist with candidate screening, maintain recruiting communications, and work closely with HR professionals and hiring managers to keep recruitment activities organized and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment for administrative and program-focused positions, including reviewing applications and supporting initial candidate screening
  • Prepare and publish job opportunities through internal HR systems and external employment platforms
  • Develop interview materials, screening questions, and other resources tailored to individual positions
  • Manage interview logistics by coordinating schedules among candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels
  • Gather interview feedback and organize evaluations for review by the appropriate team members
  • Support the administrative process surrounding employment offers and new hires
  • Monitor recruiting email accounts, respond to applicant questions, and provide timely updates throughout the hiring process
  • Assist with internship recruiting activities and university outreach, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition support, or candidate sourcing
  • Experience supporting multiple or high-volume recruiting processes is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, resourceful approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline

Additional Details: This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Washington, DC and is expected to last approximately 2 months. The position requires 4 days onsite and 1 day remote each week.
