Job Title: Engineering Technician - Contractor - C Pay rate up to $26.32/hr. Location: Palm Bay, FL Zip code: 32907 Start Date: Immediate Contract: 12 Months Contract to Hire Tags: #EngineeringTechnicianContractorCjobs; #PalmBayjobs; *Must have an active Secret Clearance* Description: Test Engineering Technician who will support the manual and automated testing of space hardware. Testing may be performed at the circuit card, assembly, sub-system and/or space vehicle level. Experience handling sensitive hardware, very strong computer skills and the ability to strictly adhere to documented procedures is a must. Prior experience with RF, optical and/or digital technology is a must. Essential Functions:

• Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
• Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
• Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
• Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
• Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
• Performs test and records required information.
• Document failures and reports any anomalies to key stakeholders.
• Executing automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
• Troubleshooting failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
• Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, OTDRs, OBRs, lasers, SOAs, BERT, DMMs and power supplies.

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
• Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.
• Willing to work overtime as requested.
