CDL Class A Flatbed Delivery Driver

Genesis Farms – Sod Farm

Full-Time | Year-Round

Position Summary

Genesis Farms is looking for a dependable and safety-focused CDL Class A Flatbed Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering sod to residential, commercial, and landscaping customers while representing Genesis Farms with professionalism and excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate is comfortable operating a 10-speed manual transmission semi-truck , loading and unloading sod with a Princeton Piggy Back forklift (training provided), and ensuring all loads are properly secured for safe transport.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CDL flatbed truck with a 10-speed manual transmission
• Load and unload sod pallets using a Princeton Piggy Back forklift (company-provided training)
• Properly secure and strap all loads before transport
• Deliver sod to customer locations safely and on schedule
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Assist with general yard or warehouse duties as needed
• Keep truck and equipment clean and in good working condition

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission
• Clean driving record
• Ability to safely lift, climb, bend, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Forklift experience is a plus, but training will be provided for the Princeton Piggy Back forklift
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a positive attitude

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb on and off trucks and equipment throughout the day
• Secure loads using straps and other tie-down equipment
• Work outdoors in all seasons
